What is CTE?

Why do we need CTE?

As the world changes with developments in AI, medical innovation, climate change, and engineering it is critical our students are prepared for tackling new and exciting college options and career paths. CTE provides exactly this type of applied and experiential learning.

WHY SHOULD YOU SUPPORT THE NOV. 4 PROPOSAL?

  • Washtenaw County is at a tipping point, with CTE enrollment up 69% over the past four years and hundreds of local students on waitlists

  • CTE programs do not currently have a sustainable funding source from state and federal governments

  • 73% of other communities across Michigan have permanent funding for CTE through ballot proposals

  • Passing this proposal would allow new CTE programs in all districts to meet the changing needs of students as they prepare for college and careers

  • Experiential learning at all grade levels helps to prepare students for college and beyond.
